Trainer Facilitating Job Skills Program

Work with youth and young adults to help them build careers.  Using a faith-based curriculum called Work Life, the career development coordinator will oversee 8 - week long cohorts with young people ages 15.5-24 to help them develop job skills and get a career.  He or she will work with the existing Work Life team which consists of a facilitator, administrator, business liaison, and ally coordinator.

  • Facilitate the Work Life curriculum to the cohort, teaching young adults necessary job skills.
  • Find job shadowing opportunities that will connect and expose young people to different careers.
  • Oversee the administration work which includes collecting data, ensuring members have transportation, providing snacks, and setting up mentoring relationships and job shadowing.
  • Work with local partners including mentors, businesses, other nonprofit organizations, and
  • Build relationships with the young adults and work towards their success.
  • Perform outreach in the communities to meet community members and inform people about the program.

Our Dreams:

  • To help young people find meaningful work and pursue the careers of their dreams.
  • For the community to support and become involved in the program.
  • To build our team of mentors, job opportunities, partner businesses, and even work with the city officials to help the program.
  • To help families grow and flourish and for that to trickle down to the communities.
