OUR COMMUNITY

One Collective serves communities located in the huge mountains of the poorest country in Central Asia. It is home to a people group which is 98.6% Muslim. The needs in this region are incredibly significant as people suffer from both physical and spiritual poverty. The population also faces a number of economic and humanitarian challenges. In particular, people struggle from a lack of access to clean, safe water, especially in rural areas.

OUR WORK

People in this region are drinking water out of canals and open rivers. One Collective has a unique opportunity to provide fresh drinking water by connecting these villages with fresh water springs. We partner with villagers who provide all the manual labor for these projects. Our workers help design and implement clean water drinking systems that equitably distribute clean water throughout the villages.

We also seek to promote economic growth through small business initiatives, improve healthcare through public health education, and encourage sustainability by teaching new gardening and agricultural methods.

Our team works with people of peace starting Discovery Bible Studies in each of the villages where we work. We invite people to listen to audio stories from Scripture with their friends and families. From these groups, home churches form, and new believers start other groups, creating momentum for a movement. Currently, we are working with 42 groups that are studying the Word and have multiplied to the third generation. We disciple, train, and equip people of peace to become agents of change in their communities. Our current initiatives focus on building local leaders in faith and encouraging them to create groups within their networks. Join us by investing in local church-planters! God is working through prayer, signs and wonders, and His Word to draw people to Himself.
