OUR COMMUNITY
The community where we are serving is located in the midst of huge mountains. It is the poorest country in Central Asia, and it is home to a people group who are 98.6% Muslim. The spiritual and physical needs of the community are incredibly significant, as people suffer from both physical and spiritual poverty. This community faces a number of economic and humanitarian challenges.
OUR WORK
People in this community are living in remote villages where there are no believers. Nobody is reading the Word of God or trying to model their lives after Jesus. The result is broken homes where women are generally mistreated and abused and where many women live in what could be considered a modern form of slavery. There are also broken relationships in these villages and it can be challenging for communities to come together and work towards transformation.
We send out teams of national believers into these villages to work with communities to identify key needs and then think through what resources they have to help meet those needs. We then provide them with a small grant in order to help them go through a process of promoting change in their villages. We teach them leadership principles and help them work together so that they can see work towards transformation long after we leave.
In each of the villages that we work, we start discovery Bible studies in order to see people become disciples of Jesus. Our team has led hundreds of people to Christ in areas where there were no known believers. God is working through prayer, signs
